some firsts

A couple weeks ago, Chris needed to work from the Winston office. When he does, he stays with my parents and it just so happened we could tag along for this trip as well. My parents took time off from work and we headed to the pool while Chris worked.

Now, cue the angels singing in your head, while we were at the pool Grandpa taught Neland to swim - in the deep water (4 feet).

This is what Neland did almost the whole time at the pool. He'd jump from farther and farther away from the ladder and really pushed himself to try harder and harder. Such an amazing feat after over a year of screaming not to be let go of in the pool.

Here's what Teague did while Neland perfected his swimming.

In the afternoon while I put Teague down for a nap, Grandpa took Neland for another first - fishing. Neland loved it.

They caught quite a few fish, including a two pound bass. We all went back later to see Neland in action.

Teague did not like not being able to fish as well so Grandma walked him up to the bridge.
Then Teague and I watched this guy fish as well.

The best entertainment around is definitely taking pictures and videos of yourself.

And the last first the boys had was going to a Chinese buffet. Bring on the endless ice cream.
