Your Baby

Today we were planting flowers and I guess Teague must have gotten in Neland's way.  Neland said "Hey Mom, will you come get your baby?"

Eat, Play, go to Target

This seems to be the cycle of our life.  So here's the pics that go with it.

Did They Play Nice?

This has been a basketball filled house! During the Carolina game on Sunday I offered to take Neland (and Teague) to lunch so Chris could watch the second half in peace.  I gave Neland his choice of restaurants.  First choice, Chick-fil-a.  After explaining for the umpteenth time that Chick-fil-a is not open on Sundays so the workers can spend time with their family, Neland chose Five Guys.  I asked what he wanted to eat there, and the answer was fries so I vetoed that one.  Third choice, Target.  I was a little surprised by this one, but who doesn't love a trip to Target (and I needed to refill one of Teague's prescriptions) so off we headed to Target.  Neland's lunch: Soft pretzel and a blue icee (because according to Neland, "It's a blue day" which he's right - we were all wearing blue).  Please don't ask how this is better than just eating fries at Five Guys.
We walked around Target and a few other stores in the area, all while receiving text updates about the game. Once the game was over, I put the boys in the car and we headed home.  Chris met us in the garage and told Neland "The Tar Heels won buddy."  Neland's response, "oh they won? Did they play nice?"  I'm sure there will be different opinions but Chris told him they played nice.  That is so typical of Neland - he just wants to make sure everyone is nice.  Such a sweet sensitive little soul!

March Madness and a Triple Double!

In stats, our Teaguie has a triple double... he's on his third double ear infection in four months.  Neland has had two ear infections in his almost four years (and only one required meds).  Teague has had 9 prescriptions in 11.5 months!  Poor guy needs to catch a break.  I'm pretty sure neither of us remembers what sleep actually feels like.  Our little all-star right after his diagnosis :

Other than poor Teague's ears (and possible sinus infection..did I mention that?), the weather has been so nice.  It was definitely time for some summer pjs and some ice cream (well not Tman - he's not 1 yet)!

Doggie Service with a Smile

Apparently Teague thought Dali might like her water outside with her.  (Personally I think he wanted to play in it, but didn't want to be inside - the screaming when I carried him in kind of gave that away.  I'm not sure why he preferred the water bowl over the newly cleaned water table, so I'll just hope he was trying to help Dali out).

Curious Neland

Neland LOVES Curious George.  Awhile ago we'd talked about planting some seeds.  Today on a trip to Target we saw they had seeds and soil out.  I let him pick out a package of seeds.  He picked carrots, since there's an episode of George where George grows carrots.  After lunch we decided to plant them.  Unfortunately now is not the time to plant carrots - so we'll do those later.  But we did get some red peppers planted.  I wonder if they'll get a chance to make it into Neland's lunch (if anything like our pepper growing experience last year, they don't stand a chance).

And since the weather has been so nice, we've been outside quite a bit.  Today while I was making Teague some food, I left him outside.  When I checked on him this is what I found.

A few other pics:

Here's a picture of Neland and Teague in the same outfit.  Neland wore this in October of 2008 when he was 15 months old.  Teague is 11 months.

A Boy, a Bat, and a Brush

This is like one of those picture games...what is similar in each one?

Teague is slightly obsessed with stick shaped objects (which are not sticks).  We noticed it when around six months he threw a fit to hold my brush and then refused to let go.  Since then I've gotten a new brush, but we noticed outside if he cannot hold the bat, he's one terribly unhappy kid.  Chris took him into Dick's Sporting Goods and the bat section had him captivated.  He LOVED it, until it was time to go (which I'm sure the whole store heard us leaving).  He loves brooms, flashlights, anything that is shaped similar to a brush.  One night he actually slept with Neland's brush.  It's so hard to actually keep him sleeping I was willing to try anything. I'm guessing he'll be a great ball player or hair stylist!

Here's a pic of the big man in his glasses :)

Testing Testing 123

Testing with 1 cute video

two cute pictures

and three funny NJ comments:

1)"When I grow up and get bigger, I'm going to sleep in Mommy's bed."

2)Chris mentioned a friend who had served in the military by saying they had "9 years of military duty" Neland chimed in, "Daddy we don't say duty."

3)I turned on Oprah the other day and Neland asked if I was watching an "adult show".  I told him I was watching Oprah.  He said, "Oh Oprah and the Queen, like the song."  (the billionaire song which he knows from the Glee soundtrack)
