basketball

We are a Tar Heel loving family and when it comes to basketball we have high expectations. This year we were very excited for our team, but unfortunately they lost a weekend before the final four (in the elite eight). For the sweet sixteen game, the boys painted jerseys.
Teague acted as if he was going to the game and painted himself as well (and the table, and attempted to paint Neland)

At some point during the past few weeks, Teague has caught that this

is for the Heels and when he sees it he says, "Carolina" if you ask him what Rameses says, he'll answer "Go Heels." Such a fan!

Neland picked his number, 4, because he is 4. I gave Teague the number 2, since he would be turning 2 on the day of the national championship game.
I think they are pretty cute.

Even after the loss, the boys were excited to wear their Carolina gear. And for the past 3 weeks Teague has been requesting "Hello Rameses", it didn't stop after the loss.

Before Neland turned 2, the Heels won a championship! For the game, Neland wore his Hansbrough jersey and we made Tar Heel brownies. It was a really fun weekend and Monday!

We also read our collection of UNC books (this one isn't technically UNC but it is about a dance and they were in the big dance...it's tradition)

This is by far the best UNC book!

We're already looking forward to next year (and taking in a baseball game at the new stadium in Chapel Hill).
