A couple weeks ago our playgroup went apple picking for the second year in a row. While the best apple picking spots are a good two hour drive, we stick to a small orchard less than an hour away. This year, unfortunately, must have been a hard year for them as there were very few good apples.
Teague did mind the apple situation at all, he was consumed with chasing chickens (he loves to chase birds, at the beach, in the backyard, at the apple orchard).
We spent about an hour hunting for apples. Neland was determined to find some. He ended up with eight. And he asked for one in his lunch every day, and one for a snack. Personally I did not mind him eating all the apples because they are a very sour variety - puckered lips and all.
We had a picnic lunch complete with apple cider donuts and apple slushies. We probably could have made a lunch out of those alone.
And we couldn't forget the baby pigs. Teague had no fear of them. They are cute, as babies. It's amazing how different they look as they mature! The big pigs in the back of the orchard are scary.
It was just another perfect fall day.
(And my camera was in the wrong setting for the entire event, hence the weird pictures.)
