Mother's Day

Mother's Day is always one of my favorite days. We have quite a tradition involving four mothers. This Mother's Day involved a surprise breakfast in bed delivered by Teague and Chris (who were both up before 6). They ran out and picked up bagels and lattes, and then Teague ate my bagel and his. Neland joined us when he woke making it the perfect breakfast picnic.

We attended church before walking over to the Morehead Inn. Grandma surprised Teague in his Sunday school class.
The Morehead Inn is a perfect place for pictures. We had a delicious brunch and the boys played outside. Some of my pictures didn't come out because I didn't realize the camera was on the wrong setting.

(The following week, after church, Neland asked to go back to the Inn for lunch because he wanted the chocolate cake)

We headed home for some time in the backyard.

We had dinner together before having to say goodbye.
Chocolate cake and milkshakes equaled a bad tummy ache for Neland. It's happened a few times when he's had a lot of sugar so now he tells people he's allergic to candy. I'm going with it.
At bedtime Neland picked the book, Just Me and My Mom (it's a Little Critter story).
